  You may remember Millipede from the split cassette with Neon Viking Funeral we put out a while back. If you foolishly didn't follow his releases since then, you missed out on the incredible "Realms" album (available from Dead Pilot Records) and the second volume of his split series with Brian Grainger. Plans for 2013

 As 2012 came to close, it turned out that we had a decent amount of  releases planned for the upcoming (now present) year. Below you will find info on these releases. The sooner we get them out, the more we will plan. Here's hoping we can get our shit together to release the following first though.

• The East Tennessee noise compilation is STILL happening. We had some major issues with our printer, but now everything is OK. Looking at a March release (hopefully)

• Next  we are very pleased to announce that we will be handling the US pressing of the debut album by Australia's LOOMER. When I first head their album "Ceiling" I was blown away! I could hear elements of bands such as Sonic Youth, Unwound, and Loop, just to name a few. Loomer is by no means just a mix and match of influences. They definitely have their own thing going for them. We are working on the layout for the cassette version now and hope to have it at the plant ASAP. These will be pro pressed and limited to 100 (as most of our stuff is).

•  Also coming up is the cassette version of the new SHADOW OF THE DESTROYER lp.This will be our first Black Metal release since the first tape we ever did (for the almighty Argentinum Astrum) and is a co release with our bros at INHERENT RECORDS (who are also doing the LP pressing). I've heard some of the new tracks and they fucking crush! Click the link above to get an example of their older stuff (which also fucking crushes). These will be pro pressed and limited to 100 (as most of our stuff is).

• Also in the works is a cassette only release from Chattanooga's own melodic death titans UNSPOKEN TRIUMPH. This is still in the planning stages, but I've heard some of the new songs live, and they pretty much kick all of the available ass. More info TBA

Besides these, there are others in the works. Everything from Noise to IDM will hopefully brandish the  FAILED RECORDINGS mark of shame by the end of the year. Thanks for all the support so far, hope you are ready for what we have in store!

ETFU Noise Compilation UPDATE!

Just wanted to update y'all about the noise cassette compilation we are releasing. Below is a write up I did for it, and contains all pertinent information.

I could write a huge, rambling description of this, but I'll just shoot straight with you all. This comp is made up of 9 acts from the east side of Tennessee. Why make this comp? Well, it seems that a lot of people are pretty unfamiliar with what is coming out of our neck of the woods, and I don't really like that. There are tons of great acts coming out of Knoxville, Chattanooga, the Tri City area and all points in between. Everything from weirdo outsider goodness to the nastiest of power electronics. Now the specs on the tape itself. It's a one time run of 100 tapes. Each one will come in a bag with a booklet featuring info on each artist. I have all the tracks, I'm now just waiting on the artwork (which is pretty close to being complete).

OUT NOW! Kingdom Of Sharks "Sulfer Springs" C-20

 I first learned of Kingdom Of Sharks (aka Christopher Feltner) when I played a show with him in Johnson City. I knew halfway through his set that I wanted to release something of KoS. Finally, that release has arrived.  Using found sounds, field recordings and good ol' fashioned harsh as fuck noise, KoS takes the listener on an ugly voyage full of loss and despair. "Sulfer Springs" isn't some hippie noise jam session, it is a complete work for our future Armageddon.

 This cassette is limited to 30 copies. Each is hand dubbed and framed by beautiful artwork courtesy of Mr. Feltner. These are available for $5ppd/US $7ppd/world via Failed Recordings Webshop. Speaking of links...

Coming Very Soon!

Our next offering is at the pressing plant now and will be ready to order in the next few weeks. The release I'm talking about is the debut recording by NJ killers, DISOBEY!!! We have samples available on our soundcloud page and even more tracks are available at their bandcamp page. (look over there---> for links). This is some heavy as hell hardcore that's preaching its own end time message. Fans of HHIG and buildings collapsing will love this!! So stoked on this release!



Also, just to let any interested parties know, the Argentinum Astrum tape is now sold out.

Jan 2012 Update

Hey all! It's been a while since this has been updated, so let's play catch up for a bit.

We finally got ourselves in gear and created a Big Cartel site for easy ordering and a facebook page that gets updated more often than this blog. Here's a link to the store and the FB page. Also, since the last update, we have put out 3 cassettes that are still available. Those releases being the sludge styling of Otis Reaper, the debut of heady hardcore faves Faded, and a destructive split between noise mongers Neon Viking Funeral and shoegaze blissterpiece that is Millipede.

This year so far we have two releases coming. First is the debut recording of Disobey. Heavy, dark hardcore for fans of HHIG and the like. Also, we are working on a huge noise compilation only featuring artist from our homeland of Southeast Tennessee. I'll post a more detailed post on the comp once it comes closer to completion.

Also of note is that our dudes in Rough Rope are putting out a split 12'' with Brooklyns own Lost Coves. This platter is being served up by the D's own Saw Her Ghost Records. We'll definitely have copies available as well once it drops. On the sad side is that Faded broke up. Members moved out of state and the like. We still have tapes available though, so grab up the debut/final release by one of Chattanoogas greatest hardcore bands.

Well, that's about it. Expect lots of noise on our end once our new stuff drops!

-We are proud to announce that we are collaborating with Inherent Records to release the "Footprints in Dead Earth" cassette by Jackson, TN's mighty Otis Reaper. True southern punked out doom. -Faded - Subconcious Infiltration tapes should be released this weekend. Intense, pissed off hardcore punk for those interested in Ringworm, Integrity, psychedelics, and intergalactic conspiracy theories.
If you're near Chattanooga, the release show is this coming Sunday, July 24th, at Anarchtica with Hivemind, Axis, and Gravebound.
